International Year of Quantum Sciences
This year the UN and UNESCO has decided is the International Year of Quantum sciences (IYQ). This means that there will be an extra focus on this topic and a lot of events, conferences and projects dedicated to the topic worldwide. The reson it is celebrated this year is because 2025 is concidered the 100 year annerversary of the aknowledgement of quantum mechanics.
To kick this off there was an opening ceremony in Paris. It consisted of a couple of days of presentations and panel discussions, an exhibition of artworks and stands from different projects and initiatives relating to quantum development.
